Sunday of the Passion

Our observance of Holy Week and Easter begins this Sunday with the Sunday of the Passion.

We remember and give thanks for all that our Savior has done for us as he goes to Jerusalem to

suffer and to die and to be raised on the third day!

Join us this Sunday as well as Maundy Thursday at 6:00 pm for a Seder meal, 1:30 or 6:30

on Good Friday and Easter morning at 6:30 and 9:30.  God's blessings as we remember the

cross and the empty tomb.

Rev. David Sternbeck from Lutheran Indian Ministries visits Zion

David Sternbeck from Fairbanks Alaska visited Zion this past Sunday (January 26).  He shared the joys and challenges of working with native people groups in Alaska to raise up native leaders.  David is a member of the Makah tribe in Washington.  "There is much darkness in our world.  People need the light of Jesus Christ."  David's wife, Rosemary also joined us and described the work of short term mission teams in Alaska.  If you would be interested in learning more about a short term mission trip to Alaska this summer, please contact Pastor Mark.
